About

Short Biography

Many guitarists at that time had Hank Marvin as their idol, but after releasing The Savage in 1961, Bruce also got a lot of fans, after his impressing fast right hand. He often used acoustic guitar on the recordings, but always electric guitar on stage, because of the Shadows walk.

Bruce was also the lead singer of The Shadows, and did some great harmonics with both Hank Marvin, and also when they backed Cliff Richard.

After some up and down periods, Bruce left The Shadows in the late 60's. Some years later he wrote and produced recordsfor both Cliff Richard, and Olivia Newton John, who was his girlfriend at the time. He joined Hank Marvin and John Farrar in a new vocal group, but they got back to The Shadows in 1975. Bruce's only record was "Please Mr Please", released in 1974. Bruce was also the lead singer on "Let Me Be The One" in the Eurovision Songcontest 1975.
